  [S51] Legacy.com Obituaries. Clifford E. Harris of Huntley Clifford E. Harris, 92, formerly of Naperville, Ill., passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012.He was born on Sept. 13, 1919, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Frank and Enid (nee Poulter) Harris. Clifford was a graduate of the University of Illinois. He was a veteran and served in the Navy as an officer during World War II. Cliff was a member of the "Greatest Generation" of our time. Cliff was active with the Boy Scouts of America, the Lions Club and Stephen Ministries at Grace United Methodist Church in Naperville, Ill. Survivors include two children, Deb (Rich) Elk of Elgin and Bill (Sarah) Harris of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; and five grandchildren, Becky (Steve) Golas, Steve (Andra) Elk, Ben Harris, Andrew and Michael Bisciglia. He was "Boppa the Great" to Jacoby, Teagan, Cora and baby Xander, due in May of 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret "Peg" in 1989; and his daughter-in-law, Kathy Harris in 2004. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, at 10 a.m. at the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St. (Route 31), Elgin IL 60123, with visitation from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be private in Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or Heritage Woods Assisted Living of Huntley, Ill.
